White Denim is an American four-piece musical crew from Austin, Texas, United States. Their music is affected by name, hallucinogenic shake, blues, punk shake, dynamic shake, soul, jazz, test shake with locally established account, sticking methodology, exceptional circling work and irregular melody structures.
In March 2005, two groups, Parque Touch (Josh Block, James Petralli, Lucas Anderson) and Peach Train (Steve Terebecki), played a show together at Beerland in Austin, Texas.[2] After the show Steve was approached to play bass for Parque Touch and the band wound up four, playing under the pen names Massive (Lucas), Bop English (James), Nicholas Mallard (Josh), and Terry Beckins (Steve); notwithstanding, in February 2006, Lucas moved to Russia and the subsequent power trio changed its name to White Denim.[2] The new line-up started playing the nearby Austin circuit while recording punk-injected, hallucinogenic blues-shake in Block's 1940s Spartan trailer.[2][3]
