Eleven years after his first collaboration with Lil Wayne, Kevin Rudolf is letting it rock again -- this time with "I Will Not Break," whose video is premiering exclusively below.
The track marks something of a comeback for Rudolf, the New York-born multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer whose credits in addition to "Let It Rock" include a tenure as a Cash Money Records gun-for-hire with three albums of his own. He spent a few years in Nashville, where he co-wrote and played on Keith Urban's "Little Bit of Everything," before moving back to Miami, where he's renewing his artist career with "I Will Not Break."
The singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist has returned to the scene with a new single ‘I Will Not Break’ where he partners with old Cash Money Records label mate, Lil Wayne. The “Let It Rock” hitmaker put out three albums with Cash Money before he took a hiatus from being an artist and started working behind the scenes with a few artists. He spent a few years in Nashville, where he co-wrote and played on Keith Urban’s ‘Little Bit of Everything,’ before recently moving back to Miami.
Furthermore, Rudolf remembers, “At first I just went into the studio to absorb what I could.
And also, I brought my guitar as sort of peace offering so I wasn’t feeling completely useless. Soon I was playing parts on songs.”
But In September 2009, having finished two solo albums, Rudolf moved from Miami to Los Angeles.
But to concentrate on co-writing and producing records for several LA-based artists, including Cobra Starship, Leona Lewis, Lifehouse, Natasha Bedingfield, Selena Gomez and Weezer.
Furthermore, In 2013, Rudolf took a break from recording his own album to co write a song with country artist Keith Urban.
And also later country songwriters Brad and Brett Warren called “Little Bit of Everything”, which Urban debuted May 16, 2013 on the Season 12 finale of American Idol.

But don’t forget to share your thoughts about the hot jam.
Lil Wayne brings us a blast from his past rock days in a new collaboration, “I Will Not Break,” with Kevin Rudolf. While the two artists have teamed up on other songs in the past ten years, their 2008 hit “Let It Rock,” off Rudolf’s In The City album, reached No.5 on Billboard Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum.
Besides their off-and-on collaborations, Rudolph has stayed pretty quiet. This new single marks the rebirth of his music career and possibly some future opportunities for rocker-Wayne.
Over 10 years after topping the charts with their multi-platinum hit “Let It Rock,” Kevin Rudolf and Lil Wayne are back with a new collaboration called “I Will Not Break.”
Produced and written by Rudolf, the rock-rap hybrid features empowering lyrics from Rudolf and a spitfire verse from Weezy. “I’ve been in this game for years / It made me an animal,” he raps. “There’s rules to this shit / Follow ’em, I laugh at ’em.”
Speaking to Billboard, Rudolf opened up about reuniting with his former YMCMB labelmate. “Whenever I do something with Wayne it just feels, like, destined,” he said. “There’s just a chemistry. I don’t see him that often, but there’s just something about the combination that always feels like it’s destined to be. I don’t know how to explain it.”
The accompanying video was directed by graphic artist Fenwik. “I wanted a video saying something about where I came from and what I had gone through and where I am now,” explained Rudolf. “It’s about having whatever experiences, whatever scars, whatever life experiences I had been through.”
Upon its release in 2008, “Let It Rock” sold over 5 million copies and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. After releasing two albums on Cash Money, Rudolf moved to Nashville, where he co-wrote and played on Keith Urban’s “Little Bit of Everything.” He has since come back to Miami, where he is now working on a new album for release next year.
Over ten years ago, Kevin Rudolf teamed up with Lil Wayne on "Let It Rock," which ended up becoming a huge hit. The two have teamed up again since then but nothing has been as effective as their first smash. Other than his collaborations with the Young Money general, Kevin Rudolf has been AWOL for a minute. For years, people have been wondering what exactly happened to him and today, he's answering that he never actually went anywhere. In fact, he's still been in the studio with Tunechi, crafting some rock-rap bangers and waiting for the perfect opportunity to unleash them to the world.
Kevin and Wayne haven't linked up in years but they met up like old times, dropping their new joint single "I Will Not Break" via Billboard. They don't seem to have missed a step either, evolving with time and employing more modernistic elements in the mix. The track details how all of your past experiences end up forming you into the person you are today, which is something that rings true with Kevin. Rudolf takes over for much of this song with this one definitely leaning more on the rock side when compared to their past collaborations.
